THE HOUSING
The Housing Link (2003) is a progressive locally based charity providing a range of quality services to homeless people, 16 upwards, including 51 bed spaces over a range of temporary accommodation, advice & support services. HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER (Based at Bury) Full Time We require 2 people to join our team able to support the Services Manager, with the proven ability to make a positive contribution to an established team, build relationships with service users including the management of a caseload, delivering support packages and providing innovative solutions to homelessness issues. The Housing Support Worker will have knowledge of homelessness, and will have responsibility for agreeing resettlement support packages relevant to individual requirements. The post holder will be involved in the running of the 16 Bed, 24 hour hostel including, some evening work, undertaking sleep in duties (for which an allowance will be paid) and working weekends. BANK STAFF (Project wide) £8.23 per hour on a casual basis (plus a loyalty bonus) We are looking to add to our team of suitably experienced people providing bank staff to cover a variety of posts including shift work and sleep in duties. BOARD MEMBERS We are also seeking to add a further four people to our Board of Trustees. Although we would welcome individuals with a background in business and finance, a genuine interest in the issues facing homeless people and how to address those issues is more important. Our Board meets roughly every six weeks in the evening. We offer an induction package and ongoing support.
